About the scholarship

The scholarship includes books, school supplies, and the necessary work materials so that these students have the opportunities to successfully complete the year. It also provides them with the school uniform, clothing and transportation to and from school. The program also provides workshops about relevant themes in the lives of adolescents. This is to encourage them to be independent and responsible young adults. At the same time the program also offers help with school work, extracurricular recreational activities, art activities, medical assistance, materials to help with sanitation, and educational and recreational trips.

José, the computer teacher, helps the students to complete a survey to find out what they wish to learn about.

 
On the other hand the adolescents also participate in activities with argentine and foreign volunteers. This gives them the opportunity to participate in an intercultural exchange. We are conscious of the fact that having intercultural interactions is a fundamental value in growing as a person both professionally and socially. We believe that it is an indispensable value for the children.  Promoting intercultural relations helps to build relationships of opportunity between people of all ages from all parts of the world. This creates networks of friendships, understanding and respect.

Mariella and Charline are German volunteers who participate in the Oportunidad Educative program by helping to promote intercultural relations.
