If you want to learn, teach or dedicate your free time to help and share with people of less recourses than yourself, then you should volunteer for Oportunidad Educativa.
Today more than ever, the volunteers are the base of almost all of the Oportunidad Educativa activities. Help us to make our projects a success by assisting these vulnerable adolescents.

Alternatives to Directly Participating

These are the areas in which you can help us:

 
Education
You can participate in the extracurricular activities such as English and computer classes. These classes are every Saturday.

Sebastián and Sol, enjoy the theater workshop with the students.

 

You can also get to know the students, talk with them, and establish relationships with them during the breakfast.
You can also participate in other activities including:

• Walks around the city.
• Work training, advising, and giving information to the students who finish high school and are beginning their university studies.
• Workshops and talks.
• Varies classes such as dance, cooking, or an activity relating to your experiences or knowledge.

Health
Includes everything related to the health of the students. You can participate in giving educational talks about health. We also invite professional and advanced students in the health field to come work as volunteers attending to the health of our students. (dentist, physical therapists, nutritionists, etc)

Family
In this area we invite social workers, psychologists, and general volunteers to help in the following activities:
•    Meeting with and choosing new scholarship students
•    Follow ups with the student and their family.
During visits to the student´s houses, you will hold interviews with the students and their families to learn about their needs, problems and try to come up with solutions with them.

 
Media and communication
We invite students or graduates who studied social communications, public relations, marketing, etc, to participate in the area of media. Through this we will create campaigns to increase funds and communication with institutions.
